Web-Crunch Digest - Issue #200
By Andy L • Issue #200 • View online
Greetings!
If you’re in the states, Happy belated 4th of July!
I’ve been quite busy behind the scenes so my publishing schedule took a hit. I just hit publish on a recent blog/vlog about my thoughts on marketing for developers and makers. Having built a number of things in public and private, marketing is the underlining thing that makes or breaks an idea (along with it being a good idea). I go into more detail on the blog post and video so check them out if you’re interested.
New stuff
I’m about halfway through a longer guide on how to use both Stripe Checkout and Stripe Customer Portal within Ruby on Rails. This is taking me longer than I’d hoped but look for that soon.
On top of those items, I plan to hopefully continue my series for railsdevs.com soon. I’ve been a bit burnt out of late so sometimes trying to muster up the will to press on gets tough.
If you have feedback or content you want to see sooner just hit reply and let me know! Always happy to hear from you.
– Andy

We're big believers in multi-year infrastructure bets. After a few years of Ruby infra work, our in-house Ruby compiler is now 22–170% faster than Ruby's default implementation for Stripe's production API traffic. If interested in working on such problems, we're hiring!
