Web-Crunch Digest - Issue #195
By Andy L • Issue #195 • View online
Welcome to another edition of the Web-Crunch Digest. I’ve been suffering from a bit of burn out so if my publishing schedule has seemed a tad slow this is why! I think it’s good to take breaks from tasks you do consistently day in and day out. I hope you’ll agree!
In other news, Web-Crunch has a new logo. I’ll be updating everything soon to use the new look but I hope you like the refresh. (find it below).
This week I continued my Let’s Build for Ruby and Rails developers series. I’m hoping to get a v1 launched soon. Until then, expect more parts as things progress.
Up next, I plan to publish more Tailwind CSS content. It has become “how” I write CSS these days which is amazing to think about. Not long ago I wrote CSS in an entirely different way like I’m sure many other Tailwind CSS fans have.
Finally, I have a question for you.
I’m considering creating a new set of Rails templates that make use of Devise. The idea of this being that all the auth-based UI (The views Devise can generate) is pre-designed for you. This would in return allow you to kick off a new Rails app (using Devise) in an extremely fast manner. At a high-level, I’m thinking of offering different themes and layouts as well as using different CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, etc…). Would something like this be of any interest to you? Hit reply to this email or hit me up on Twitter if you have any thoughts 🙏
